Illustration Friday #10

Hum...made it to number 10!

Broken

This one was made for a magazine's article with the topic "When children lie".
Three months ago. I came up with this.
Though in fact it is really not broken it may suit this topic.

Little boy is saying: "I didn't do it."

Your illustrations are always such a treat! I really like how you represented the continual lies the child tells by the bark and leaves growing on his nose.

As for my work: it takes me 1-3 days when working on a painting (I constantly struggle with finding the right color combinations and build multiple layers of paint), 1-3 hours on illustrations such as my personal sketching and Blind Contour Fridays, and when working in Illustrator or Photoshop; they can take anywhere from 1-3 days, depending on the complexity and research.

Great illustration. I love the medium, but my favorite part of the picture has got to be the eyes on the kid. Priceless... :)

Hola Kikazinha!

Wow! This does work very well for the subject. I love how the nose goes beyond the page. Must have been one big lie! Great work.

He has a Pinocchio nose...grown large from telling a lie! I love that it's grown leaves...perhaps his nose has been long for a long time! The perched birds are a perfect touch:>
