Illustration Friday 22-FEET

FEET

This is an old one, from 2002.

It was commissioned for a magazine at mother’s day.

I don’t have the original anymore, but I saved the image (the left foot is a bit cut, though).

As time goes by, and as I look back at my work, there are illustrations I don’t like anymore but there is other’s I keep identifying with my inner world.

This is one of them…

It is so nice to see you posting again!
Your illustrations are so bright and vibrant, and you choose daring colors. I love how her face smiles like a good girl, but at the same time you can see she often is a queen of mischief, too.

This is precious! It seems to have a rougher texture than what I've seen that's more recent, but it has the same bright colors and sense of fancy.

I am IN LOVE with those striped socks! I own a pair similar, but they are apple green and turqouise and purple. This scene reminds me of childhood, sitting at mom's feet, or hiding under the table. Fantastic work, Carla!

Oh Carla,

When I saw this I said, Oh, so cute and delightful. It really made me smile and I immediately said I have to go back to painting again as I do miss it.
