my first video

This is a piece of my story board for the video sample I directed for DJ Shadow’s Screen Test, in collaboration with my friend João who did all the animation because I am still not geek enough :).

There’s something wonderful about illustrating music, I guess it is all about the movement and rhythm coordination. I love it.

I would like to post a nice sequence on this but I caught this terrible flu so I guess I’ll be back only in a few days...

Coming soon...

These are two samples for the back and front cover of my next book, coming out in November.

I am quite happy with this project, the editors gave me 100% freedom to do what I wanted, including choosing size, format and number of pages and work with my old friend and designer Daniel.

We opted for the first image, with the back in red, but still changed some details

Welcome to Lilliput !

ItsImagical, Spanish Imaginarium's publishing house published now one of my books and other 6 of the same collection (by different authors) in a really small size.

The whole collection comes inside boxes like this one, also with different covers.
For really small readers I guess :))

Tarot Cards

These are two Tarot cards I was doing in fashion illustration for a project I had to give up.
It was quite a challenge to study all the symbols and update them into fashion.

This is the other poster, result of collaboration between me and graphic designer/illustrator Paulo Arraiano.

It is for a play by Rainer Maria Rilke (I love this author):

"The Lay of the Love and Death of Cornet Christopher Rilke" (huge title)

At first we had chosen the illustration above but then we opted for this one.

The Monument

This is one of two illustrations I did as a layout image for a cycle on War Theatres,

in collaboration with graphic designer/illustrator Paulo Arraiano (who also commissioned this job for me)

This is the poster, at the time still as a project.
